Part two of the Jagannath triad. Subhadra is the sister of Balabhadra and Krishna(Jagannath/Vishnu) and the wife of Arjuna, the main character in the tales of the Mahabharata. She is tragically subject to kidnap and eventually murder. She is celebrated in the annual festival in Puri (where I came across her abstract representation), Ratha Yatra, where huge chariots are carried through the streets carrying the gods from one temple to another. I made this for me, I'm not sure whether to sell it or not but if someone wanted me to make something like this for them I could, the price listed is a guide price for something of this sort. Acrylic on wood 50cms (24 inches) diameter.
